Role Overview

Sourcing Connect Consulting is looking for an experienced Procurement Process Analyst with strong expertise in process mapping, workflow documentation, and Microsoft Visio.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of end-to-end Source-to-Contract (S2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and the ability to translate stakeholder discussions and complex procurement workflows into clear, structured and visually compelling process maps.

The resource will work closely with procurement, finance, legal, technology, and business stakeholders to document As-Is processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and develop To-Be processes supporting procurement transformation and standardization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Process Discovery & Analysis

• Conduct workshops and discussions with procurement, finance, legal, IT, and business stakeholders.
• Understand existing processes, roles, systems, approval structures, controls, handoffs, and exceptions.
• Document current-state As-Is processes and identify process gaps, bottlenecks, duplication, and control weaknesses.
• Design optimized To-Be processes aligned with business and procurement transformation objectives.

Process Mapping & Documentation

• Create detailed process maps, flowcharts, and cross-functional swimlane diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
• Map end-to-end procurement processes, including:
• Supplier identification, qualification, onboarding, and vendor master management
• Strategic sourcing and category management
• RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes
• Bid evaluation and supplier selection
• Negotiation and award
• Contract creation, approval, execution, and management
• Purchase requisition and approval
• Purchase order creation and processing
• Goods/service receipt
• Invoice processing and 2-way/3-way matching
• Invoice exceptions and resolution
• Supplier performance management
• Contract renewals and risk reviews
• Supplier offboarding

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities for process standardization, simplification, automation, and control enhancement.
• Highlight bottlenecks, duplicate activities, unnecessary approvals, manual interventions, and process dependencies.
• Define decision points, business rules, controls, exceptions, and escalation paths.
• Support development of future-state operating models and optimized workflows.

Documentation & Governance

• Develop supporting:
• SOPs
• Process narratives
• Work instructions
• RACI / responsibility matrices
• Process control documentation
• Process inventories
• Validate process documentation with relevant stakeholders and incorporate feedback.
• Maintain version-controlled and consistent process documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–8 years of relevant experience in procurement process analysis, business process management, procurement transformation, or process documentation.
• Advanced hands-on proficiency in Microsoft Visio is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience creating detailed:
• Process flowcharts
• Swimlane diagrams
• As-Is / To-Be process maps
• Cross-functional workflows
• Strong practical understanding of Source-to-Contract (S2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
• Good understanding of supplier lifecycle, sourcing, contracting, purchasing, and invoice management.
• Ability to translate complex stakeholder discussions into clear and accurate process documentation.
• Experience identifying process gaps, controls, dependencies, exceptions, and improvement opportunities.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to independently conduct and facilitate remote process discovery workshops.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of BPMN and recognized process-mapping standards.
• Experience with procurement / ERP platforms such as:
• SAP Ariba
• SAP
• Coupa
• Oracle
• Ivalua
• Jaggaer
• Other S2P / P2P platforms
• Exposure to procurement transformation, shared services, GCC, or operating-model initiatives.
• Experience in process standardization, automation, or digital procurement transformation.

Candidate Assessment

Candidates should be prepared to walk through a procurement process map personally created in Microsoft Visio.

During the interview, candidates may be asked to explain:
